The IBFC Difference

Biodiesel Made from Jatropha Seeds

IBFC biodiesel is derived entirely from non-edible Jatropha seeds — a crop that thrives on marginal land without displacing food crops. Jatropha seeds yield up to 40% pure oil, which is then refined using our proprietary transesterification process at our Bihta, Patna plant.

The result is a premium biodiesel that reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 80%, virtually eliminates sulphur content, and delivers a higher cetane number than conventional diesel — meaning better ignition, smoother engine operation and longer engine life.

All IBFC products comply with BIS standards (IS 1460 / IS 15607) under our ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system — guaranteed.

Why Biodiesel?

Environmental & Performance Benefits

Choosing IBFC biodiesel means choosing better performance today and a cleaner planet tomorrow.

80%

CO₂ Reduction

IBFC biodiesel reduces net carbon dioxide emissions by up to 80% compared to petroleum diesel on a lifecycle basis.

~100%

Sulphur Eliminated

Nearly zero sulphur content dramatically reduces acid rain and particulate pollution from exhaust emissions.

+15%

Better Lubricity

Higher lubricity reduces engine wear by up to 15%, extending engine life and lowering maintenance costs.

≥51

High Cetane Number

A higher cetane number means faster ignition, smoother combustion and better engine response across all load conditions.

Non-toxic

Biodegradable

Biodiesel is non-toxic, biodegradable and produces far lower levels of unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide.

No Mod.

Engine Compatible

B5 and B10 blends require no engine modifications — drop-in replacement for standard diesel in any diesel engine.

Who Uses IBFC Biodiesel?

Applications & Sectors

IBFC biodiesel powers a wide range of vehicles, machinery and industries across India.

Trucks & Transport

Long-haul and commercial trucks benefit from better mileage and reduced fuel costs with B10/B20.

Buses & Fleet

City and inter-city bus fleets reduce operational emissions and improve air quality in urban zones.

Agriculture

Tractors, harvesters and irrigation pumps run efficiently on B5/B10 — ideal for Bihar's farming sector.

Construction

Excavators, JCBs, generators and cranes on construction sites run on B20 for maximum power and lower emissions.

Power Generation

Industrial and backup diesel generators run cleanly on IBFC biodiesel blends with zero performance compromise.

Marine & River

Inland waterway vessels and fishing boats benefit from biodiesel's high flash point and low sulphur emissions.

Industry

Manufacturing facilities use B100 in burners and industrial boilers for clean, low-emission thermal energy.

Railways

Indian Railways' biodiesel blending programme uses B5 and B10 in diesel locomotives and track machines.
